1. How long will it take for my custom handbag or specialty item to be delivered?

Please allow up to two weeks for completion. This may increase or decrease according to size of order. A Di.Va. designer will confirm your delivery date once an order has been placed

2. I see that you can do custom designs with my personal photos! How much extra is it for this service? How many photos do you need and will I get my original photos returned to me?

If you own the copyrights to these photos, or you have taken the photos yourself, we can use them on our handbags. There is an additional $50 service charge for the scanning of family photos for use on any project. This fee will be waived if you provide us a CD-ROM with your images burned onto it. They need to be .jpg format and scanned in at the original size. If you want a personal family photo accessory, we need at least 30 pictures (50 better) in order to not repeat any images. All original photos will be returned safely to you.

3. How do you ship your wares?

Di.Va. ships all items via UPS, expect those at PO BOX. PO BOX addresses are shipped via US Postal Service or by Federal Express.

4. What type of credit cards do you accept? Is your site secure? Do you accept checks?

Di.Va. accepts all major credit cards: American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Yes, we have a secure site for ALL transactions. If purchasing by check, we will start designing your goods once the check has cleared.

5. If an item that I want is sold, can I get another made for me?

Absolutely! If you see anything on the site that is sold and you just have to have it -- we can design one for you! Remember, we cannot promise that it will look exactly like the one on the site since all our goods are handmade. We will use the same
images -- but placement of images and shape of box will vary.

6. I have an old desk that would be perfect for decoupaging -- do you design on customer-owned pieces of furniture?

Yes! After reviewing what item you have in your possession you would like us to design, and it is something which is feasible, we will arrange to do it! Shipping of the item to and from our studio will be at customers' expense. Pricing for such items will vary as well.

7. How durable are your products? What are they made of? What if it rains?

We take great measures to ensure you receive a top-notch product. All handbags are solid wood cigar boxes. We do not use cardboard or paper covered products. Only the best boxes make it as Di.Va. handbags! We coat all of our items to
ensure they are waterproof. So don't worry about running wild through the rain to protect your purse. Also, if you should have a defect in your wares, we will fix it up until 1 year of the original purchase date. We stand behind our work 100%!

8. Do you offer any discounts for high-end volume purchases?

9. I have a boutique and/or retail chain store and I want to carry the Di.Va. line, how do I go about setting that up?

10. I saw many of your products in TV shows and in the movies, can I purchase those exact items that were used?

We, in some cases, can design (close but not exact) replicas of the products which were seen on tv and in the movies. As far as purchasing the exact item, that is not possible at this time. We may, however, auction those items at a later date ... but cannot promise anything at this time.

11. I just love your site! Can I link it to my website?

Yes, but only if your site is in good taste. If you own a site you would not want your mother to be on, then we don't want to be on it either.

12. I love the glass beads, but I want them as an over-the-shoulder strap, not as a handle. Is this doable?

Due to the fragility of glass beads, we only make them as handles. They are durable as handles, but the weight of your bag would put too much stress on them as a strap.

13. Can I pick the type of lining for my handbag?

We would love to offer this for every order, but cannot promise an exact fabric for design. Rest assured, you have very capable and talented artists designing your handbags and we would not put a fabric in that "clashes" with your design!

14. I would like pictures of Michael Jackson, Barney Rubble and Superman on my handbag! Can you do this?

That would be one interesting handbag! Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce these (and other) images because of copyright laws. We are looking into purchasing several famous movie stars and movie rights to use in the future. Until then, we only design with imagery which is non-copyrighted, royalty-free, or permission granted by owner of photography/designs.

15. There are a lot of cigar box purses on the internet now-a-days. What makes yours so different than all the others?

When we began making the"Di.Va." version of the cigar box handbag in late 2001, no one else was doing it the way we did. Most other handbags out there were simply just the box with a handle. That's it. Two years later, we are starting to see other companies imitating the way we design our handbags. But most are only doing partial imagery on the handbags instead of the entire handbag like we do ( I think they found out it's harder than it looks to make these type of handbags). When you purchase a Di.Va. handbag - you ARE getting a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Several hours of tedious and detailed work are poured into each of our bags. They are not mass produced, but all are made by hand.... one by one. We only use the highest quality of hardware, glass beads and material in each of our bags. We know that more companies will try and imitate the unique design and approach that we perfected. But we hope that you will purchase from the source where it all began ... Di.Va. Decoupage!
